Toronto

Toronto is the biggest city of Canada and also the capital of Ontario. Firstly, Toronto have two important attractions: CN Tower and Sky Dome. CN Tower is one of the symbols of the city. You can visit it and on the top of the tower, you can admire the landscape of the city and the lakes. Sky Dome is the first stadium in the world with a enormous openable roof. Here you can watch a baseball match. There are many other attractions, like Hill House, a great castle built in 1900 where today there is a museum with faveolus gardens. Other museum are the Royal Ontario Museum and the Art Gallery of Ontario. In the city centre you can buy souvenirs and local products. The commercial street is the Younge Street. Nearby Toronto there are Niagara Falls.

Niagara Falls

Niagara Falls are one of the most popular waterfalls in the world. They aren’t very far from Toronto and they are one of the most visited natural place in the world. The height of the waterfalls is 58 meters. There are three waterfalls. The two smaller of them are on the American side and they are called Bridal Veil Falls and American Falls. The biggest waterfall is on the Canadian side and it is the Horseshoe Falls. Arriving from Toronto, it is recommended to visit the waterfalls. The water falls down so intensely that it forms a light foggy and you can see a spectacular rainbow between the Canadian and American sides. You can visit Niagara Falls by different means of transports. You can visit them by boat called “Maid of the Mist” or by plane called “Spanish Aerocar”. You can also walk along tunnels and observe the waterfalls inside. In the Queen Victoria Park you can admire Niagara Falls on the top of Skylon Tower.

Montréal

Montreal is the second biggest city of Canada. This city is very rich in culture: there are many events and manifestations and a very animated nightlife. The culture of the city is influenced by Anglo-Saxon culture and French culture, there are also many traditions of other countries. One of the most characteristics place is “Little Italy”, where you can find Italian restaurants and attractions. In the city centre you can find many types of shops, restaurants and pubs and you can also walk down Parc Jean-Drapeau. You can admire many monuments and architectures. There is also the famous Casino. In Summer there are many events like Montreal Jazz Festival and for shop in winter you can find many shops, shopping centres, museums, hotels to Réso, the biggest underground city of the world.

Ottawa

Ottawa is the capital city of Canada and it is only the fourth biggest city after Toronto, Montréal e Vancouver. Ottawa became the capital city of Canada in 1857 and today is the most important politic center of the country, infact there is the Canadian Parliament. The name of the city derive from the indigenous word Odawa, which means “big river”. The city centre can be visited by feet. The Canadian Parliament is situated on Parliament Hill in a green zone. The most attractive thing are the National Gallery and the War Museum. Near these place there is the Royal Canadian Mint, which produce coins. There are many events during the year in Ottawa, like the Festival Canadien des tulipes in May, the Ottawa International Writers Festival in spring, the Ottawa International Animation Festival on September and finally Canada Day, on 1st July.
